What is Hapè?

Hapé (pronounced Rah-pay or Ha-pay ) is an ancestral blend of sacred, medicinal plants such as medicinal tobacco leaves, tree resins and other ingredients, often generating a highly invasive and burning sensation and used by various tribes indigenous to the Amazon in Brazil and Peru.

Intention

Originally introduced by indigenous Amazonian tribes, the primary intention for the use of Hapé is grounding and centering. It is also used for purifying the sinus and respiratory tracts while clearing the related chakra points in the back of the head, and throughout the body.

The Impact

The immediate effect of Hapé is quite immersive. It’s often reported as feeling like a jolt. The eyes may be teary as a release of stress, but not unpleasant or painful. How to Use Our Liquid Hapè

Liquid Hapé: Gunawia

Traditionally Hapé is taken in powder and blown into the nostrils by means of a special pipe, traditionally made of bamboo or bone. However, this proprietary artisanal formulation is a blend of jungle tobacco leaves, eucalyptus, paprika, ruda, and rosemary resins which are first softened and macerated and then extracted into a liquid offering produced in small batches in southern Columbia.

With three simple steps, you can start using hapè in your meditations and routine.

  • Set Your Intention

    Open the palm of the hands. Set a mindful intention to pause, relax, and focus inward.

  • Spray the Mist

    Spray the mist once or twice onto the palm of each hand (see video below).

  • Breathe the Hapè

    Inhale and exhale through the nose (3 - 7 times). Dwell in the lingering scent.
