Arbutin is the natural chemical in uva ursi that’s mainly responsible for its urinary tract benefits. Once it’s metabolized in your body, arbutin is converted to hydroquinone, which passes through your kidneys into your urinary tract. Hydroquinone may relieve pain and inflammation in the bladder or urinary tract. She’s known to help decrease painful spasms, helping irritation and aiding in overactive bladders by encouraging frequent urination. She has a long history of use, and in Germany, she is officially approved for treating urinary infections and bladder inflammation.

🌿 Western Red Cedar ~ This incredible conifer is known as an incredible bioregional ally to help ease urinary infections. She’s a water-worshipping tree, signifying her affinity to the urinary system. She is a sacred tree of this region, protective in nature with cooling and drying properties, supporting the immune, respiratory & urinary systems.

🌿 Cornsilk ~ The silk of corn is known to have soothing mucilaginous and demulcent properties which helps soothe the irritated mucous membranes. It also has a diuretic effect, is rich in silica and other minerals, which help strengthen the tissues. Corn silk has been traditionally used for bladder infections, inflammation of the urinary system, inflammation of the prostate, kidney stones, and bedwetting.
